No partner needed, no experience, no pressure. Most people come solo and we rotate partners throughout the class, so you'll dance with everyone in the room.

Yes — it's genuinely safe to come alone, and most people do. You'll be welcomed the moment you walk in, paired up for the class, and it's a great way to meet new friends without needing to bring anyone.

Warm and no-judgment. You will never be the only beginner in the room — every class is full of first-timers, and the whole hour is built from zero in a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere.

£10 for the class. Social dancing afterwards, from 8:30pm until late, is completely free — and you can turn up for just the social with no booking needed.

Cafe Sol, 56 Clapham High Street, London SW4 7UL — a short walk from Clapham North tube station (Northern line) and Clapham High Street Overground.

Comfortable clothes you can move in. Smooth or leather-soled shoes work best — avoid thick rubber-soled trainers if you can.

Booking is recommended to secure your spot in the class, but Cafe Sol is pay-on-the-door too — just come along a little before 7:30pm. No booking is needed at all if you're only joining the free social.
