Is it actually okay to come completely alone?
Yes — genuinely, most people do. You'll be welcomed the moment you walk in, paired up for the class, and it's one of the easiest ways to meet new people without needing to bring anyone with you.
I've never danced before — will I be the only one?
Never. Every class is built from the ground up for absolute beginners, and there's always someone else in the room having their first go, too.
Do I need a partner?
No. We rotate partners throughout the class, so you'll dance with several people by the end of the hour and never get stuck.
What's the vibe — is it a pickup scene?
No. It's a class and social run around respect and connection, not a bar scene. Instructors are on the floor all night, and the focus is on learning and dancing well with each other.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes you can move in. Smooth or leather-soled shoes work best — avoid thick rubber-soled trainers if you can.
How much does it cost, and do I need to book?
The class is £10; the social after is free. Booking ahead is recommended since the class fills up, but walk-ins are welcome too.
