1All their partners are smiling
Sounds obvious, but one of the easiest ways to judge whether someone is a great social dancer isn't by watching them — it's by watching their partner. Are they relaxed? Smiling? Laughing? Do they look comfortable? Great dancers don't "perform" well. They create an enjoyable experience for the person they're dancing with.
2They aren't rushing
Great social dancers don't feel the need to fill every second of the song with moves. They take their time, enjoy the music, and focus on connecting with their partner. Sometimes the person doing less is the person creating the better dance. They're not trying to show off. They're listening, adapting, and making the dance feel like a conversation. The best dancers know that a great dance isn't about how many patterns you can fit into three minutes. It's about how good those three minutes feel.
3They dance with everyone
