What Is Bachata?

Bachata is a partner dance from the Dominican Republic, set to romantic Latin music. It's characterised by a simple 4-step pattern, sensual hip movement, and close connection between partners. Unlike Salsa, Bachata is slower and more grounded — making it one of the most accessible Latin dances to learn, and one of the most addictive once you start.

Modern Sensual Bachata (the European style) adds body waves, dips, and fluid partner connection. Rogue Bachata takes this further — our style blends authentic connection with theatrical expression.
