Bachata Classes in London — Every Monday at King's Cross

Rogue Bachata runs weekly bachata classes in London every Monday at Keystone Crescent, King's Cross. Whether you've never danced before or you're looking to improve your basics, our Monday class is the friendliest way to get started. The class runs 7:30–8:30pm for just £10, followed by free social bachata dancing until late.

King's Cross is one of London's most connected transport hubs — 2 minutes from the tube (Victoria, Piccadilly, Northern, Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan lines), and a short walk from St Pancras International. No excuses not to come.

What Is Bachata?

Bachata is a partner dance from the Dominican Republic, set to romantic Latin music. It's characterised by a simple 4-step pattern, sensual hip movement, and close connection between partners. Unlike Salsa, Bachata is slower and more grounded — making it one of the most accessible Latin dances to learn, and one of the most addictive once you start.

Modern Sensual Bachata (the European style) adds body waves, dips, and fluid partner connection. Rogue Bachata takes this further — our style blends authentic connection with theatrical expression, developed by Oscar & Bo over years of social dancing and performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a partner to come to the class?

No partner needed at all. Most people come alone. We rotate partners throughout the class so everyone gets to dance with different people — it's part of what makes it so sociable.

Is this suitable for complete beginners?

Absolutely. This class is designed from the ground up for people who have never danced before. We cover the basic step pattern, timing, and how to lead and follow — all in a relaxed, supportive environment.

How much does it cost?

The 1-hour beginners class is £10. After the class, from 8:30pm, social dancing is completely free. You can stay as long as you like.

Where exactly is it?

Keystone Crescent, King's Cross, London N1 9DX — right next to King's Cross and St Pancras stations. 2 minute walk from the tube exits.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes you can move in. Shoes with a smooth or leather sole work best — avoid thick rubber-soled trainers. Come as you are — all outfits welcome.

Do I need to book?

Booking is recommended to secure your spot in the class. Use the link above. Walk-ins are welcome if space allows. The social dancing after 8:30pm requires no booking and is free.
